Major Partnerships

SBP partners drive real human impact. We work with each organization to understand their unique business objectives and the needs of their internal and external stakeholders to build each partnership. In addition to bringing essential resilience and recovery resources to team members and actionable recovery strategies and participatory volunteer activities to the communities in which they work, SBP offers well-vetted investment opportunities that deliver real, measurable results.

Americorps

AmeriCorps and its members are an invaluable component of SBP’s proven-effective model. Across the country where we operate, SBP’s 240 AmeriCorps members are responsible for driving recovery forward by supporting our clients and volunteers, and ensuring our rebuilding work is done safely, efficiently and meets SBP’s quality standards.

Toyota

Toyota has generously and consistently invested both dollars and sense into building SBP’s culture and processes. Toyota taught SBP its Toyota Production System, which has not only allowed SBP to reduce construction time by 48%, but SBP has shared these processes with hundreds of other nonprofit groups to help them utilize best practices. Toyota is a significant financial supporter of SBP’s AmeriCorps program and continues to help implement innovative and sustainable solutions to SBP's most pressing challenges.

Farmers Insurance

Farmers Insurance generously supports SBP’s rebuilding work and preparedness education initiatives. Farmers helped SBP create the Disaster Recovery Playbook, a step-by-step guide that enables disaster-impacted communities to leverage SBP's proven best practices, dramatically reducing recovery time. Farmers is committed to sending employees to volunteer, every week of the year, to rebuild homes for disaster-impacted families across the U.S. Since 2014, Farmers’ employees have helped more than 200 families return home.

Zurich

Zurich Insurance is a global leader in community resilience and has helped SBP build its Disaster Resilience and Recovery Lab (DRRL), a program that builds resilience and mitigates disaster risk for homeowners across the country. Zurich’s financial investment allows SBP to provide its resilience training for free. DRRL is also the driving force behind SBP’s Government Advisory and Advocacy work, which is improving the way America prepares for, and recovers from, disasters.

UPS

UPS is a global leader in supporting disaster response. As one of SBP’s first corporate partners, UPS has driven years of impact by investing in SBP’s immediate disaster response and disaster preparedness education that has reached hundreds of thousands of individuals. Thanks to financial support from UPS, SBP has been able to immediately deploy teams to more than 15 disaster-impacted communities.

Walmart

Walmart Foundation is an essential partner in building SBP’s disaster resilience initiatives. Thanks to Walmart Foundation’s financial investments, SBP has created and distributed post-disaster resources that have been distributed to hundreds of thousands of disaster-impacted residents across the U.S.

Entergy

Entergy, SBP's first and longest-standing corporate partner, has a strong history of serving communities across Louisiana. Since SBP's founding, Entergy has generously invested funds to support rebuilding homes for disaster-impacted families, and Entergy employees have contributed countless volunteer hours, helping to ensure a prompt, efficient and predictable recovery for the communities they serve. Entergy supported SBP’s first-ever multi-family apartment building by investing in solar panels, which made this building the first net-zero, multi-family building in Louisiana.
