Michael McNulty is a 60-year-old disabled veteran living with his wife Pamela, three children, and two parents at Pamela's childhood home in Oakland, NJ. Since being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1982 due to a back injury, Michael has contributed his time to humanitarian work with other veterans in the area. The group of veterans hosts an event called Table to Table Tuesdays, where they distribute meals to food-insecure veterans in their community. Over the past two years, the group has served over three million meals to low-income veterans.

After Micahel and Pamela's family home sustained substantial damage from Hurricane Sandy, a full recovery seemed unobtainable due to the costs of repairs. Through the Got Your Back Fund, SBP replaced insulation and drywall in water-damaged rooms and remediated mold. SBP also replaced the lower cabinets and countertop in the kitchen and installed new laminate flooring in the kitchen and dining room. With all that Michael has done to serve his country and his community, SBP was thrilled to return Michael's family to the safety and security of their home. SBP's work would not have been possible without Viatris' commitment to serving our nation's heroes.

Across the country, Viatris' partnership and generous investment in SBP's Got Your Back Fund has driven meaningful, far-reaching support for disaster-impacted veterans. Viatris' belief in SBP's mission to shrink the time between disaster and recovery has positioned it to operate at the nexus of racial equity, climate change adaptation, and human resilience to help our nation's heroes achieve long-term recovery and future resilience. In 2021 alone, a total of 21 veterans and their families were served thanks to Viatris' generous support. Their leadership in corporate responsibility serves as a north star for other businesses to roll up their sleeves and give back to underserved communities in need.

Viatris' broad commitment to SBP has empowered veterans to live healthier throughout 2021. "We can't thank Viatris enough for their tremendous investment in those who have dedicated their lives to protect and serve others," said Zack Rosenburg, co-founder and CEO of SBP. "Disasters exacerbate already-existing inequalities, pushing people to their breaking point. Veterans so often hate asking for help and frequently prioritize the needs of others over their own. Viatris, as the Fund's Founding Champion, has created a pathway to make it easier for veterans to get the help that they deserve. We are incredibly grateful for the company's ongoing support."
