Michael McNulty is a 60-year-old disabled veteran living with his wife Pamela, three children, and two parents at Pamela's childhood home in Oakland, NJ. Since being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1982 due to a back injury, Michael has contributed his time to humanitarian work with other veterans in the area. The group of veterans hosts an event called Table to Table Tuesdays, where they distribute meals to food-insecure veterans in their community. Over the past two years, the group has served over three million meals to low-income veterans.
After Micahel and Pamela's family home sustained substantial damage from Hurricane Sandy, a full recovery seemed unobtainable due to the costs of repairs. Through the Got Your Back Fund, SBP replaced insulation and drywall in water-damaged rooms and remediated mold. SBP also replaced the lower cabinets and countertop in the kitchen and installed new laminate flooring in the kitchen and dining room. With all that Michael has done to serve his country and his community, SBP was thrilled to return Michael's family to the safety and security of their home.
