Share Program

SBP's Share Program fills critical gaps in post-disaster communities across the nation by providing funding, training, and capacity building to its nonprofit partners. Our team works closely with local and national organizations to share our best practices - taught to us through partners like Toyota, and UPS - and train organizations to use SBP's innovative and effective rebuilding model. Through our expertise and free consulting support, our partners are equipped to address the many real-world challenges commonly encountered by homeowners, community leaders, and organizations in preparing for and responding to disasters.

Partner Training Programs

SBP's SHARE program offers a suite of training opportunities to meet the needs of nonprofit organizations responding to and providing long-term disaster recovery support in their respective communities.

Current Grant Programs

SBP is excited to announce that we have a new grant available via our SHARE program for qualifying nonprofit partners to address the unmet housing needs of under-resourced neighbors and communities in a timely and efficient manner. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis as long as funds remain available. Nonprofit organizations repairing homes for the first time are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Disaster Case Management Training

At SBP aiding disaster survivors in shrinking the time between disaster and recovery is our mission to deliver in every service we provide. We know having adequately trained Disaster Case Managers gives survivors the most straightforward and effective path to recovery.

AmeriCorps Placement Site Program

AmeriCorps is a national service program that empowers local and national partners to tackle some of our nation's toughest challenges. Through our Placement Site Program, your organization may host full-time AmeriCorps members for ten month service terms to increase your capacity in disaster case management, rebuilding efforts, and construction and volunteer coordination.

Program Benefits

- Low cost capacity building.

- Ongoing support from SBP’s HR & AmeriCorps Program Manager and National AmeriCorps Recruitment Team.

- Access to SBP's subject matter experts and knowledge of best practices in long-term disaster recovery.

Cost: $20,000 per AmeriCorps Member

If SBP’s site placement program is too cost prohibitive for your organization, we offer additional capacity building grants to offset a portion of the program cost. This grant is based on available funding and organizational need.

Testimonials

“I can not begin to tell you what an impact these grants have made in our organization and in our community [Bandera County, TX]. We have been able to help so many in need that would otherwise still be doing without water. SBP ROCKS!”
